Our approach
BlokBlok hosts content uploaded by its community (item photos, store logos, listings, posts, and catalogue contributions). We respect intellectual-property rights and act on valid infringement reports. This policy covers reports under UK and EU law (the hosting provisions of the Electronic Commerce Regulations 2002 and the EU Digital Services Act) and notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Reporting infringing content (takedown notice)
If you own (or are authorised to act for the owner of) a copyright or other IP right and believe content on BlokBlok infringes it, email hey@blokblok.io with the subject “IP Takedown” and include:
- identification of the work or right you say is infringed;
- the exact location of the infringing material (the URL(s) on BlokBlok);
- your name, organisation (if any), and contact details;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights-holder, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights-holder or authorised to act on their behalf; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
On receiving a valid notice we'll review it promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to hey@blokblok.io including: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; your name and contact details; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your signature. We may restore the material in line with applicable law.
Repeat infringers
We may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' intellectual-property rights.
