General
What is BlokBlok?
A community-built catalog and marketplace for Mega Bloks, Mega Construx, Mega and Mattel Brick Shop: sets, parts, minifigures, instructions, boxes, and gear. The catalog is maintained by the community; the marketplace lets members sell to each other.
Are you affiliated with Mega or Mattel?
Nope. BlokBlok is an independent, fan-run project. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mattel, Mega Brands, or any rights-holder.
Do I need an account? I didn't get my verification email.
Browsing the catalog and the forums is open to everyone — you only need to create an account to buy, sell, post, or contribute. After you sign up we email you a verification code, and you'll need to confirm it before you can log in. If it hasn't arrived, check your spam or junk folder and give it a minute or two; like Mega sets, it might be hard to find, but not impossible.
What are the badges and roles?
Anyone can browse BlokBlok and buy items, and users can apply to become a Seller. Admin and Mods are here to help run the platform. You can earn badges for different actions: include Old Guard (early members), Contributor / Super / Mega Contributor (approved catalog contributions), Founding Seller(early stores), and forum activity badges. There's also a Supporter badge for Ko-fi supporters. They show on your profile and stores for flex purposes.
How can I support BlokBlok?
BlokBlok is free, fan-run, and ad-free — but servers, image storage, and keeping the catalog running still cost money. If you'd like to chip in, you can support us on Ko-fi. As a thank-you, supporters get a Supporterbadge on their profile — just leave your BlokBlok username with your donation and we'll add it. And honestly, simply using the site, contributing to the catalog, and being kind in the forums helps just as much. 🤍
Is my stuff private? How is content moderated?
Direct messages are private — admins can't browse them; the only way a thread is seen is if a participant reports it. Your address is only shared with a seller when you order. Public stuff: posts, custom listings, avatars, and uploaded images are, naturally, public and can be reviewed by BlokBlok.
Buying & orders
How do orders and payment work?
You can add lots to your cart from item pages or directly from a seller's store, and then place an order with a seller. BlokBlok doesn't process payments or hold money – you pay the seller directly using the payment instructions on their store, and they ship to you. Each order tracks status and you can leave your feedback after. Stay safe:pay only with a method you trust, keep records, don't settle off-platform before placing the order, and open a dispute from your order page if something goes wrong.
How does shipping work?
Sellers set their own shipping rules & prices. A store can offer flat-rate options or rates based on weight and your destination, so where a seller has set this up you'll be able to see and pick a shipping option at checkout. Otherwise the seller adds the shipping cost when they send your invoice with full total. Each store also lists which countries it ships to, shown on its store page.
What currency are prices in, and can I buy from another country?
Each store lists prices in its own currency, and your cart and order for that store use the same currency. BlokBlok doesn't convert currencies — the payment method you transact with handles any conversion. You and the seller can be in different countries, as long as the seller ships to you – which is shown on their store page.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Before an order ships, either the buyer or the seller can request to cancel it from the order page — once the other person approves, the items go back on sale. After an order is marked shipped it can't be cancelled through the system, so message the other party to sort it out, or open a dispute from the order page if you can't agree. To change quantities or remove items, the simplest path is to ask seller while the order is still open. You can add items from the same seller to an existing open order by adding them to your cart and then choosing to update an existing open order.
What are Wanted lists?
Your hunt sheet. Add items you're looking for from any catalog page, organise them into multiple named lists, and set the colour / condition / max price you actually want. Manage them at Wanted list.
How do feedback and disputes work?
After an order, buyer and seller can leave feedback (Praise / Neutral / Complaint), shown on public profiles. If something goes wrong with an order, you can open a dispute for an admin to look at.
Selling
How do I become a seller?
Apply from here, make sure to include some credentials – we want to keep BlokBlok a trusted place to buy & sell. After your application is reviewed by mods, you can open and manage your own store and list items. There is no plan for any transaction commissions for the foreseeable future.
I am a Seller, how do I list items, and can I bulk-import?
You can list any item straight from its page by clicking List this in my store. Alternatively, from your store's Inventory → Add listing, pick the catalog item, set condition / price / quantity, and you're live. To list a lot at once, use Import CSV — download the template, fill it in, and preview before bulk uploading.
What condition options can I set on a listing?
You set each listing as New or Used. For sets there's an extra choice — Sealed (unopened), Complete (all pieces, used), or Incomplete. There aren't separate fields for things like box grade or paint wear, so outline those specifics out in the description.
What are custom listings?
For unique, modded creations that aren't official Mega items: MOCs, painted/modded figures, one-off builds. You can add one from Inventory → New listing → Add a custom, modded item, with a name, photo, and price. Browse them at Customs. If it's a real catalog item that's just missing, please add it to the catalog instead.
Catalog & contributing
How do I contribute to the catalog?
BlokBlok is built by the community, so contributions are vital! Open any catalog item or category page and use the Suggest an edit buttons, or start something new from Contribute. You can contribute a bunch of stuff: from item photos to inventory, year released, weight, and other details. Everything you suggest goes to review before it lands to prevent griefing and ensure quality updates. As a thank you, approved contributions are credited to you on the item page, and you can earn contributor badges that are displayed on your public profile.
What are Mega colour codes?
Parts are listed in Mega instructions under unique IDs, often ending in a 1-3 latin letters. These Mega codes (e.g. F = Black, JB = Green) serve as an identifier for a specific colour. Browse the full list at Colors, and contribute to make it better — you'll use the code when listing or wanting a part.
Community
Can I post in the forums? Can I add photos?
Yes, any signed-in member can start threads and reply, and you can attach photos to a post. Time to show off MOCs, cool pics and memes! Be cool; posts are moderated and mods can step in. We welcome all community contributions, from general chat to how-tos in Guides.
Can I message a seller or another member?
Yes. Any signed-in member can send direct messages to other users — there's an 'Ask the seller' button on every store, a message button on member profiles, and you can start a new chat from your Messages page. DMs are private (admins can't read them unless someone reports a thread), and you can block anyone you'd rather not hear from.
How do I link an item or tag someone in a post?
In forum posts and messages, type @set:HKT05 (or @part:, @minifig:, @gear:, @instructions:, @box:) and it auto-links to the catalog page. Tag a member with @user:name.
