Metal Pieces from MBS

    I thought one of the best things would be, to catalogue the Mattel Brick Shop (MBS) sets first. They are easy to get and would create immediate benefit knowing what is in them. And then we can work backwards.
    But I have an issue with recording the metal parts, what color are they? Especially the plate that is included into every set.

    Sometimes time helps, we basically have two kind of metallic pieces in the Hot Wheel cars. The kind of metallic also used by Lego which is on top of the ABS pieces. And real metal pieces.
    The most difficult thing is, they don't match the usual format for pieces.

    The listing for most of these parts looks like this:
    "AS-77583-SLV01" so based on the other codes, I'll say "SLV01" is the color code and indicates is this silver metallic.

    On the other side we have the metal plates you can fix under the car. They are real metal and codes look like
    HWW25: "AS-82618-PLT01"
    JHF61: "AS-82947-PLT01"

    The HWW25 has 2 more real metal pieces:
    AS-82611-PLT01
    AS-82612-PLT01

    Likely the best color to choose would be "PLT01"

    I tried to add the metal pieces as "PLT01" and "SLV01" but colors are only allowed to have 4 letters....

    Hmmmm it’s an interesting case. If SLV01 and PLT01 are recurring and consistently indicate something then I guess we can treat them as colours (and I need to fix the colour uploader then).

    I did find AS-82753-PLT01Metal Plate that we already have and its listed under KJ (Silver, Metallic) colour, which I assume is not fully correct then since PLT01 are actual metals? Looking at other KJ parts especially

    So we have 2 options I'd say:
    1) List the parts u mention as MUL colour and include full IDs with SLV01 / PLT01 and state their properties in item name. I think I saw many parts that don't have colour code but are pretty homogenous in colour - they would be listed as MUL
    2) If the SLV01 / PLT01 are consistently recurring then we can add them as colours and strip ID of that suffix

    Lemme investigate more

    So, I can confirm all Metal Plates in the Hot Wheels cars are listed as PLT01 at least until now. I think a black metal plate is coming, so not sure what they are doing there.... if it will stay as PLT01 or not.
    And as said the metal parts from both Premium cars are listed as PLT01: and they also have a plastic part to connect them to bricks. So they are kind of dual moulded.

    The same applies to SLV01, from my understanding they are plastic parts, but they are have a layer of color on them in this case metallic. Comparable to Legos Metallic Gold & Silver.

    Just checked the instructions for JKG42’83 Chevy Silverado it has the black Hot Wheels metal plate (& added the instructions), this one has the color code: BLK02, which is matching for another color.
    I'm wondering if the "02" is for the 2nd color, so another one would get the 03.
